Normally herbs don't require much fertilizer and they even grow in average garden soil. They have very good resistance against many diseases and insects.

The different examples of flowering herbs and how they can be grown are:

  • Anise hyssop (Agastache foeniculum): This is a perennial herb and in mid late summer they give lavender color flowers. The leaves and flowers of anise hyssop are fragrant.
  • Chives (Allium schoenoprasum): This is also a perennial herb. And, they give offsets of pink or lavender color flowers. These flowers are edible and they have a mild onion flavor.
  • Feverfew (Tanacetum parthenium): Feverfew are white-petaled, yellow-centered flowers which look like a daisy. They bloom from early summer to mid summer.
  • Purple coneflower (Echinacea purpurea): Purple coneflowers give large rosy pink flowers, which have orange brown centers. They produce flowers from midsummer into fall.
  • Yarrow (Achillea millefolium): Yarrow produces red, pink or white flowers. These are used in floral arrangements. They bloom usually in summer.

  • Oregano- The plant can grow to a height of 80 cm and has spade-shaped leaves that are olive-green in color.

  • Tulips- The flowers are large, symmetric and can take the shape of cups, bowls, goblets and many other shapes and the most common found color is purple.
  • Peony- The flowers of the peony herb are in six types namely single, double, semi-double, bomb, Japanese, and anemone.
  • Wild Indigo- The flowers have a pea-like shape with a color between purple and blue.

And these all are the beautiful herb with purple flowers used in daily products, medicines and cosmetics. Some of them are even useful for aromatherapy.
